We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Licensed Optician to join our reputable optical
practice on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be a kind and dedicated individual that works well
with a team, but is also an efficient self starter.
Duties include exceptional customer service through frame selection, ordering lenses, verifying glasses
on arrival, as well as fitting and servicing with adjustments and repairs. Attention to detail is a positive skill.
Creativity and the desire to keep the board organized and merchandised properly is a plus.

Training & Education required:
Optician License - NAIT Optical Sciences or similar
Required Skills:
● Prior experience in optical retail
● Knowledge of medical terminology related to vision care
● Optical laboratory experience with edging equipment is desirable
● Knowledge of insurance billing processes
● Proven retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence
● Familiarity with My Vision Express or similar health record systems
★ Experience with contact lens trainings an asset - certification is not required
★ French is an asset but not necessary.
Pay:
$24.00-$27.00 per hour

Optician to join our team !
Job Description:
● Providing great customer service while assisting and greeting patients.
● Assist patients in selecting eyewear, providing expert advice on frame styles and lens options.
● Processing orders for lenses and frames ensuring accuracy in measurements and specifications.
● Providing proper measurements on patients with their eyeglasses and assessing concerns and issues as they
arise by trouble shooting the situation.
● Maintaining frame displays and dispensary area tidy.
● Frame adjustments and simple repairs for patients’ existing and newly purchased eyewear.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking.
● 1-2 years experience working in the lab edging and cutting lenses down.
● Verifying finished products in a lensmeter
● Answering phones and occasional appointment bookings for patients.
Requirements:
● Previous experience in the optical field is preferred, however willing to train the right candidate.
● Strong computer skills and quick learner
● Works well in team settings
● Great customer skills
Job Type : Full Time position
Salary : Based on experience
Shift: 7.5 to 8 Hours/day
Schedule :
Monday to Friday
One evening shift per week
Occasional Saturdays as needed
