We are looking for an experienced and organized Optometry Clinic Manager to oversee daily clinic operations and support our doctors in providing top-tier patient care. 
Position Overview 
The Optometry Clinic Manager is responsible for ensuring the clinic runs efficiently while maintaining an excellent patient experience. This includes supervising staff, optimizing workflow, overseeing scheduling and billing processes, and maintaining compliance with clinical standards. 
Key Responsibilities 
· Manage day-to-day clinic operations and ensure smooth patient flow 
· Lead, train, and mentor front desk, opticians and optometric assistants 
· Oversee scheduling for staff 
· Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction by handling inquiries and resolving concerns 
· Monitor billing processes and insurance claims 
· Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, PIPEDA standards, and clinic protocols 
· Coordinate vendor relationships and maintain inventory of clinical and optical supplies 
· Support doctors with clinical workflow and operational needs 
· Analyze performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership 
· Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient experience 
Qualifications 
· 2+ years of experience in an optometry, medical, or healthcare office management role (required) 
· Strong leadership and staff management skills 
· Knowledge of eyecare terminology, clinical workflow, and insurance billing (preferred) 
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
· Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities 
· Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and office management software 
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Century Vision Care is searching for a full time/part time licensed optician to join our fantastic team. We are located in the growing community of Century Park in South Edmonton. 

Our clinic prides itself in providing the best patient care experience by utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and offering exceptional optical lens and frames options.  

We are looking for someone who is willing to work hard and grow with our optical family. They must be able to handle working in a busy, fun, fast-paced environment while continuing to provide the exceptional customer service that we have become known for. 

Position will include limited evenings.

We will be open Monday to Friday, evenings on Wednesday. Closed weekends and all stat holidays. Hours can be flexible (20-40 per week).

Your expertise in optical products, laboratory procedures, and retail sales will ensure patients receive accurate prescriptions and stylish, comfortable eyewear. Responsibilities
  • Assist patients in selecting eyewear that fits their prescription, style preferences, and lifestyle needs
  • Take precise measurements for lens fitting, including pupillary distance and frame size
  • Dispense and adjust glasses to ensure optimal fit and comfort for each patient
  • Provide detailed explanations of lens options, coatings, and frame features using clear, patient-friendly language
  • Maintain accurate patient records using optical software
  • Conduct laboratory procedures such as lens ordering, edging, and mounting to ensure quality standards are met
  • Promote retail sales by recommending appropriate eyewear accessories and additional vision care products
  • Stay updated on the latest optical trends, products, and technological advancements to better serve patients
  • Support administrative tasks such as insurance verification, billing, POS transactions, and data entry using electronic medical records systems
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Dispensing Optician or in an optical retail environment with strong knowledge of optical products and services
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye health and vision correction
  • Retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Knowledge of optical software systems for patient record management
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse patients
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Certification or licensure as required by local regulations for Dispensing Opticians is preferred but not required
