We are looking for an Optometric Assistant/ Optician to join our Wise eyes Optometry team in Grande Prairie. We are excited to meet a responsible, detail orientated candidate who enjoys working with people and helping others.

Optical experience is an asset but not necessary.

We will provide on-job training.

Responsibilities

- greeting patients, checking them in, and obtaining necessary medical history information

- maintaining accurate documentation by utilizing electronic medical records

- assisting patients in selecting proper eye wear

-dispensing glasses

- educating patients on contact lens care and eye wear options

- scheduling appointments, managing front desk operations

- maintaining a clean and organized work environment

- staying updated on the latest optical products and services

Qualifications

- experience in an optometry/ optical environment is an asset

- strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- ability to work well in a team-oriented environment as well as being self-motivated

- strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Part-Time Optometrist – North Edmonton (260353)

I am looking for coverage in the next few weeks at my office, Emerald Hills Eye Care located in Sherwood Park. 

We are a fully equipped dispensing office with all the diagnostic equipment including OCT, Optos, Humphrey Fields, and Meibography. All pretesting is done by trained staff and we use Revolution EHR.  

Here are the dates I am looking for: 
November 27 and 28 
December 2-6 and 9-10 

Typical office hours are Tues/Wed 11-7, Thurs/Fri 9-5, Sat 9-3. Looking for half or full day coverage. 

Compensation will be a daily percentage of billings or a minimum, whichever is higher.
