The mission of the Alberta Association of Optometrists is

  • to promote excellence in the practice of Optometry
  • to enhance public recognition of Optometry as the primary vision care provider in Alberta, and
  • to advance the interests of the profession.

The AAO offers many resources for the public to educate and inform about Optometry and eye health issues.

Eye See... Eye Learn® is a program aimed to kindergarten students and their parents about the importance of eye health.  Eligible kindergarten students can also qualify for a free pair of glasses!
