The Eyedeology team is looking for a Part time experienced Optometric Assistant to expand our team.  We are a fun group of gals who are passionate about customer service and patient care. Our full scope practice is located in downtown Calgary so no evenings and 1-2 Saturdays a month.  Medical or Optometric experience is necessary and is willing to work 17-20 hrs a week. You must know how to use OCT, VF , Retinal camera, and Tonometry. Primary responsibilities:
Greet patients in an inviting manner. 
Reception duties such as scheduling appointments, processing private insurance billings, referrals to ophthalmologists, patient recalls
Diagnostic imaging and other pre-screening procedures
Preparation of exam rooms
Train patients to insert, remove and care for contact lenses.
Expected to cross-train in the optical in the future
Assist with spectacle frame selection and lens selection, adjust and repair eye wear.
Assist in management of inventory, including returns and warranties.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, suppliers and general public.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Self motivated.
Passionate about providing compassionate care to patient of all ages.
Excellent at multitasking.
Interested in learning about eye wear sales and lens technologies in addition to primary duties in pretesting and reception. (Some exposure to optical sales would be beneficial.)
Enjoys learning and sharing knowledge with team members and patients.
Intermediate computer skills (Windows 10, email, LibreOffice or Microsoft Office).
