We are looking for a highly motivated Front desk receptionist/Optometric Assistant for our Northwest  Calgary optometry clinic close to the U of C. Duties would include general reception, booking referrals/appointments, pretesting patients, contact lens teachings, and frame sales.

Busy SW Optometric Practice looking for dynamic, experienced Optician or Optical Dispenser.  License not required, will consider all relevant eye care experience.  Must have at least one year of optical dispensing experience to apply, please!  We would like an individual who is great with patients, loves to help people find the perfect eyewear and enjoys supporting a hard-working team.  You should be responsible, mature and self-motivated.  Experience Pre-Test and dispensing an asset. Optometrist Office in Market Mall is looking for part time during the summer and full time coming the fall.  ‪

Some of your responsibilities will be:

-Booking patients in for their eye examination
-Reception and telephone handling
-Pre-screening testing
-Contact lens training for patients

Outstanding customer service, strong communication skills and the ability to learn are considered an asset for this position.

Prior experience in optical is an asset but not required.  For the right person who is eager to learn we are happy to provide on the job training.  Must be very comfortable & happy using an iPad during client interactions.  Willing to practice & learn our electronic health records system on a computer or iPad outside work hours till you are a pro in the office setting.  Must also be able to memorize information provided by the Optometrist outside work hours to ensure all clients receive 100% accurate & consistent info from every team member.
