Our multi-doctor clinic is a full-scope family practice with an emphasis on state-of-the-art eye care, fashion-forward quality eyewear and personalized service. We will train the right person, but prefer a background in optometry or medical reception, medical or optometric assistant certification, ophthalmic technologist training, optical or optician experience and/or sales.

Three of our doctors and all staff live in Cochrane and participate in the community. Our clinic is a high-tech, full-scope family practice. We believe in providing excellent optometric care and products in a friendly, comfortable environment for our patients. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about helping others, providing excellent service for our patients, and enjoys working in a positive, team-based environment.
We are a mid-size practice with a small town feel and need help bridging the organization and everyday administrative tasks of the clinic with providing excellent eye care for our patients. This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. Strong leadership along with experience in management is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

At Woodbine Optometry we are passionate about providing high quality patient and customer care. We are looking for an energetic optometric assistant or optician who enjoys learning about optical technologies and best practices and also enjoys caring for patients of all ages. At our office we strive for a positive work environment and are seeking an individual with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Hours: Full time
Start date: November 2020
Experience: 3+ years

Primary responsibilities:
Assist with spectacle frame selection and advise on appropriate lens choices after assessing the patient's visual requirements.
Dispense, adjust and repair eye wear.
Management of eye wear orders.
Assist in management of inventory, including returns and warranties.
General reception duties such as booking appointments, answering phone-calls as needed.
Assist with pre-screening and imaging of patients.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, suppliers and general public.

Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in eye wear sales.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Self motivated.
Excellent at multitasking.
Enjoys learning and sharing knowledge with team members and patients.
General knowledge of spectacle frame and lens options (specific product training to be provided).
Intermediate computer skills (Windows 10, email, LibreOffice or Microsoft Office).
